The Association of Ghanaian Origin is deeply saddened and concerned by the tragic shooting of a 15-year-old Ghanaian in the Bronx, New York.

It is heartbreaking that a young life, full of promise, dreams, and opportunities, has been caught up in such a devastating incident. No child should have to experience gun violence, and no family should have to endure the pain and uncertainty that come with such a tragedy.

We extend our heartfelt thoughts, prayers, and support to the young victim, the family, and everyone affected by this incident.

We call on the relevant law enforcement authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that justice is served. We also encourage members of the Ghanaian community, parents, community leaders, and youth organizations to continue working together to protect our young people and promote safer communities.
