On the Cross – in the most extreme suffering – Jesus kept His eyes fixed on His Father. Their fellowship was never broken. And it was that unbroken union that gave Him the strength to endure.

And it is the same for us! We are united with Christ – not theoretically, but really, inwardly. And that union is what sustains us through whatever opposition, suffering or loss we face.

This is my latest article on Psalm 16:8 – what it means to set the Lord always before us.

Need to be spurred on? Watch this short clip from our session together for inspiration from the life and priorities of Jesus. Consider who else might benefit and share it on.

There is a growing movement teaching that the Church’s mission is to “Christianize the culture” by taking dominion over key spheres of society – education, government, media, business and more.

But is that what the New Testament actually teaches?

In this article, I examine the “Seven Mountains” and dominion theology in light of Scripture and church history, and show why:

• The New Testament never gives this mandate
• Jesus, not the Church, establishes His Kingdom on earth
• The Church’s true mission is disciple-making, not culture-domination

If you want a biblically grounded, theologically clear analysis of this influential movement, this will challenge some common assumptions.
