5C 5C - Clayton County Community Collaboration Council This group serves Clayton County, IA.

The 5C is a countywide collaboration of county residents who have a desire to make a difference in their community. 5C focuses on changes that will improve the lifestyles of its residents to encourage healthy and more rewarding experiences. Another aspect of this collaboration is to improve communication between agencies, organizations, and the general public, to ensure equal knowledge of services and programs available.

5C's is so support and take this opportunity with MFL MarMac

MFL MarMac SODA students participated in a Day on the Hill Thursday at the state capitol.

We had nine students participate in training, host a news conference, meet with legislators/house representatives and tour the capital. Both Mike Bergan and Anne Osmundson spoke with our students.

Thank you also to Julie Doeppke from 5C for traveling with us and sharing her personal story during the news conference.

Central Warriors Red Ribbon Week! Great ideas!

In the world of education, this next week is known as Red Ribbon Week. This is a week set aside to put a positive spin on awareness and our commitment to keeping our youth in the very best place we can. We invite all Central students and staff to participate in our Red Ribbon Spirit Days! This year's theme is "Be Kind to your Mind. Live Drug Free."

It's Red Ribbon week! SODA students will be stopping by the elementary classrooms all week to read stories encouraging students to make good choices.

Today our students and staff are dressed in RED! Tomorrow is western day. Join us by dressing up to give drugs and alcohol the boot!

Youth Mentoring Coordinator: Do you enjoy working with youth and families? We are looking for someone who is positive, motivated, and organized. We work to match youth with caring, positive role models in our communities who can provide them with new opportunities and experiences all while developing a lasting friendship. This full-time position will work to establish community-based and school-based youth mentoring programs and facilitate the Celebrating Families Program in Clayton County.
