At Elbert County Colorectal Cancer Support Group, we believe no one should face colorectal cancer alone.
Our support group is a safe and welcoming space for survivors, caregivers, family members, and anyone impacted by colorectal cancer to connect, share experiences, encourage one another, and find hope together. Through education, awareness, and compassionate support, we are building a stronger and healthier community one conversation at a time.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, in treatment, celebrating survivorship, caregiving for a loved one, or simply looking for support and information — you are welcome here.
Together we raise awareness.
Together we support survivors, caregivers and family members.
Together we save lives.

In Georgia, colorectal cancer continues to take far too many lives each year. More than 5,350 people are expected to be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year, and experts warn that cases and deaths are rising in younger adults under age 50. Screening and early detection save lives.
Don’t ignore the signs:
💪🏾Blood in stool
💪🏾Changes in bowel habits
💪🏾Unexplained weight loss
💪🏾Persistent stomach pain or fatigue
If you are 45 or older — or have a family history — talk to your doctor about getting screened. Awareness, education, and early action can make all the difference.

Last week I spent time throughout our community placing colorectal cancer awareness brochures in various locations to help spread education, encourage screenings, and save lives. Every brochure placed is an opportunity to reach someone who may need this important information.

Awareness matters. Early detection saves lives.

I want to thank the VFW Post 5456 and Elks Lodge #1100 for hosting the “Wellness for All” Health Fair and for inviting ECCCSG to be a part of such a life-saving event.

We were truly honored to stand alongside a wonderful group of caring community advocates dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and awareness. Events like these remind us of the power of community working together to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for your commitment to serving and educating our community!

The Mission Continues!!!
March may be over, but the mission continues. 💙
This past month was filled with purpose, passion, and powerful moments—Blue Day on the Square, Blue Day at church, advocating on Capitol Hill, our Mayor signing the proclamation, planting blue flags on the public square, and giving out care packages to those who need encouragement the most. Each step, each conversation, and each flag planted represented lives touched and lives we’re fighting for.
Colorectal cancer awareness month has ended, but the awareness has not. Cancer doesn’t stop—and neither do we.
The blue flags in my yard are still waving… a reminder that this fight is ongoing, that lives are still at stake, and that hope is still alive.
Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep fighting. Colorectal Cancer is a crisis, let's treat it as such. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💙💙💙
