Sundar Shadi Holiday Display in El Cerrito, CA This folk art holiday collection was hand-crafted by Sundar Shadi beginning in 1949, and was displayed next to his house on Arlington Blvd.

Since his passing in 2002, volunteers continue to restore his work. Visit December 13th to 26th, 2025.

Who remembers Mr. Shadi’s farm?!
He used to display this at Christmas time in front of his own house on the Arlington— while his holiday display was set up on the two lots to the right of his house.
(Pictured below are some of the farm pieces he made… as we displayed them in a window display at Ace Hardware several years ago. House 🏡 🐄 🐎 🍗
