This week marks the end of Black History Month and nearly two months since the police killing of Tyre Nichols. During what should be a time of celebration, Black people across the nation have had to mourn and grapple with yet another traumatic act of institutional violence.

As Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, we must do more to show up for the Black community. As Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, we must do more to show up. Today, we are reaffirming our commitment to cross-racial solidarity and support the Black community in the following ways:

✊🏽Learn from and listen to the Black voices at the forefront of the fight for racial justice.

✊🏽Activate AAPI communities to speak out and take action against anti-Blackness.

✊🏽Ensure that our racial justice solutions do no harm to Black communities.

✊🏽Grow the multiracial movement to dismantle systemic racism in all its forms.

Stop AAPI Hate also pledges to remain transparent and accountable in our journey to build cross-racial solidarity between Asian Americans, Pacific Americans, Black Americans, and all communities of color. You can expect to hear more about our efforts in the months ahead.
