In Called to Discipleship, Walter Colace walks through Matthew 16:24-27 and Jesus' radical call to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. We’ll look at common obstacles that keep us from growing as disciples—including conformity, carnality, compulsiveness, and consumerism—and discover three essentials for effective discipleship: completely surrendering to Christ, living a disciplined life, and depending on the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus calls us to more than comfortable Christianity. He calls us to follow Him.

Jesus didn’t call His followers to sit still—He commissioned us to go and make disciples. In Matthew 28:18–20, Jesus gives His church a mission backed by His authority and empowered by His presence. In “Go,” Pastor Chris Nunn walks through the Great Commission and challenges every believer to move beyond insecurity, fear, and excuses. We are called to make disciples by intentionally going, leading people to identify with Christ, teaching them to obey His Word, and boldly proclaiming the gospel. We don’t fulfill this mission through our own strength; the Holy Spirit empowers us, and Jesus promises to be with us every step of the way. The harvest is ready. The gospel is powerful. The question is: Will you go?

There was so much to celebrate this Sunday!
We celebrated 6 baptisms across our 9AM + 11AM services! Six stories of lives changed by Jesus and people publicly declaring their faith.
We also had the privilege of hearing from Pastor Jim Stretchberry, who leads AEBM Ministries and serves by sharing the Gospel with the Jewish people, as well as Gil & Chanel Williams, who are reaching Muslims with the Gospel in Austria.

We’re so grateful for what God is doing here and around the world. The Gospel is still going forth, and lives are still being changed.

What does it really mean to be called by God? In Called, Pastor Chris Nunn reminds us that following Jesus is more than simply believing facts about Him—it means knowing Him, obeying Him, and living from the new identity He has given us. Jesus calls His disciples to serve, forgive, love, proclaim the gospel, live as examples, and make other disciples. Our calling isn't primarily about finding a position or title; it's about becoming who Christ has called us to be. When our identity in Christ becomes clear, our calling becomes evident.
