Job Title: General Laborer
Pay Rate: $17.82
Start Date: A.S.A. P
Schedule: Rotating Work Schedule
Shift A: 8am to 4pm
Shift B: 4pm to Midnight
Shift C: Midnight to 8am
Must be available to work each shift including holidays and weekends.
Location: Brawley, CA
Breakdown of the essential duties and responsibilities for this role:
* Operating the channel
* Operating the rock/trash collector
* Cleaning filters
* Handling limestone rock using the correct gloves
* Performing heavy labor, including sweeping, shoveling up to 45 pounds, using a wheelbarrow, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and twisting
* General cleaning tasks
* Various yard duties
Below are the physical demands required for this position:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an employee must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb frequently, while also maintaining balance during these activities. It is also essential to be able to hear and understand directions, use hands for tasks such as fi*****ng, grasping, grabbing, handling, or feeling objects, tools, or controls, and reach forward, downward, and upward motions with hands and arms.
This role also occasionally requires sitting and communicating verbally in one-on-one situations, over the telephone, and via two-way radio.
This position requires heavy physical labor, including the ability to lift up to 45 pounds. It's important to note that the work environment may involve exposure to dust, extremely high temperatures, hot equipment, hot weather, and continuous or intermittent loud noises.
Work Environment
The role also frequently requires working outdoors in all types of weather, including direct sunlight, and near moving mechanical parts and vehicles. You can expect exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Occasionally, there may be vibration from power tools used by client employees.
Requirement
Must have worked inside or outside in the extreme heat within the last two years.
Please note the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes a hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses. Additionally, steel-toe boots are mandatory for this position.
Education
High School or GED
Experience
One year of general building, custodial, and equipment maintenance experience
Licensing
A valid driver license issued by the State of California. Department of Motor Vehicles is required.

Entorno de trabajo
El puesto también requiere frecuentemente trabajar al aire libre en todo tipo de clima, incluyendo la luz solar directa, y cerca de piezas mecánicas y vehículos en movimiento. Puede esperar exposición a humos y partículas en suspensión. Ocasionalmente, puede haber vibración causada por las herramientas eléctricas utilizadas por los empleados del cliente.

Educación
Preparatoria o GED
Experiencia
Un año de experiencia general en construcción, limpieza y mantenimiento de equipos. Se requiere experiencia previa trabajando en exteriores.
Licencias
Licencia de conducir válida emitida por el Estado de California. Se requiere la certificación del Departamento de Vehículos Motorizados.
