👖💙 Denim Day 👖💙

Sure Helpline Center thanks our community for standing together in support of victims and survivors by participating in Denim Day.

Denim Day began after a court case in Italy where a sexual assault conviction was overturned because the victim was wearing tight jeans—implying consent. In response, people around the world began wearing denim to stand in solidarity and challenge harmful myths.

This day is a powerful reminder that what someone wears is never an excuse for sexual violence. Wearing jeans shows support, raises awareness, and helps break the stigma surrounding sexual assault.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Planned Parenthood Generation Action SDSU IV for their collaboration and partnership in recognizing Denim Day and helping bring awareness to our community.

To everyone who wore denim—thank you for standing with survivors.

We believe you. We care.

If you or someone you know needs support or would like to learn more about our services, please call our 24/7 crisis lines at 760-352-7273 or 760-352-7873. We are here for you.

There is hope, there are resources, and there is a community ready to stand with you, support you, and guide you. Healing is not a journey anyone should face alone, and together, we continue to build a network of care and support throughout Imperial County.

A special thank you to our brave community members, especially the men who walked in red high heels in solidarity, helping raise awareness and take a stand against violence.
