UFCW Local 152 staff, along with sister local UFCW Local 1776, are performing an Area Standards Informational Picket Line at the new Giant store in the Andorra Shopping Center in Roxborough this weekend.

We are peacefully picketing to inform the public that the conditions within Giant don’t meet the expectations that our union has for workers in the same industry in the area.

Giant stores on our area threatens good union jobs at places like ShopRite, Acme, Fresh Grocer, and more.

Today we observe Juneteenth, a day to commemorate the end of slavery in our country. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ On this day in 1865, the news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Texas, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on our history, honor the resilience and contributions of Black communities, and commit to the ongoing fight for equality and justice. ✊

On Wednesday, June 17, President Ross was presented with Local 152's charter during the New Jersey State AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention in Atlantic City.

Today, Zack Mullock stopped by UFCW Local 152 to discuss the issues affecting working families throughout South Jersey.

President Ross and the current Mayor of Cape May had a productive conversation about workers’ rights, protecting good union jobs, and the importance of working people using their voice at the ballot box by supporting candidates who best represent the issues that matter most to them.

UFCW Local 152 appreciates the opportunity to share our members’ concerns with elected officials and candidates alike, and looks forward to continuing the dialogue with Zack as he campaigns for New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
