On 5/25/26, our cadets participated in the Memorial Day parade on Ocean Heights Avenue. The parade was to honor fallen service members who died while serving in the U.S. military. This was a good experience for our cadets and we look forward to participating next year as well!

On 5/21/26, AFJROTC NJ-20222 held its third annual Military Ball. The ball consisted of a flag folding ceremony, a POW-MIA ceremony, speeches, and distribution of certificates and awards. Shout out to our photographer, erinmcdevittphotography , for providing these beautiful pictures and DJ, Kyshawn Wyman , for making the ball a great time. A special shout out to Dr. Graham, the Board of Education, and to our Booster Club for their support. Our cadets had a great time and we look forward to holding the event again next year! nj

On 5/16/26, our cadets participated in the Armed Forces day at Holy Cross Cemetary. The cadets honored deceased service members by placing an American flag on the veterans’ graves. Our cadets worked with Civil Air Patrol cadets to ensure the event went smoothly. We look forward to participating in the event next year!

On 5/14/26, our cadets visited the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum. They got to see different WWII aircrafts like the F-14 Tomcat, F-16 Fighting Falcon, AH-1 Cobra, A-4 Skyhawk, Huey helicopters, and other historic aircraft. They learned about the 42 aviators who died training at the hanger and much more. It was an educational experience for the cadets and we look forward to going on more trips like these in the future!

On 5/9/26, the unit participated in its annual Curriculum in Action trip, visiting Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland; the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.; and the Hard Rock Cafe in Baltimore, Maryland. The trip was a fun and educational experience for our cadets. Can’t wait to see what the next trip has in store for us!

Yesterday, AFJROTC NJ-20222 held a morning PT session for the Pre-K class. The kids ran relay races, an obstacle course, and exercises such as push-ups and sit-ups. At the end, we gave them all certificates of completion. The kids had a great time and we look forward to doing this again next year!

AFJROTC NJ-20222 participated in the Drill Dynamics Workshop led by Coach Cheeto. We worked on sharpening our skills, along with learning new drills and exercises that help us utilize our LDR practices the best we can. We even learned some armed and unarmed exhibition sequences. We had an educational experience and we look forward to utilizing the skills we learned in future competitions. Thank you Cheeto!
