So I created a fb page to the tune of "Actively observing non-active state forest police (rangers)." As their nice new vehicles sit parked in a gated area or sitting anywhere. Point being they were not in "state forests," enforcing laws like they should be. Well, the powers that be erased the page and any remnants of it. I don't really care, but what and whom has to be done to get a page erased?
It was strictly rangers, not inferring with regular police. But just simply posting how they weren't enforcing the laws. Please all who care read up on NJ Legislature Bill S2424. January 29th of 2024, the NJ senate passed S2424;
SYNOPSIS
Establishes various programs in DEP concerning management of publicly owned forested land; appropriates $60 million.

Need Wharton State Forest Paper Maps (from all eras); if you have paper maps of wharton state forest road systems, prior to the state erasing them, please contact me....I have the maps but not on paper. I want to reprint them and distribute them to the masses to travel roads, all roads. And to re-open what has been closed. If the state wants to use the data from 1982-1997; we shall use the maps from then to travel freely and unrestricted, which we are provided that right in the US constitution........take that s**t to the supreme court and see who wins..........

“The right of a citizen to travel upon the public highways and to transport his property thereon, by horse drawn carriage, wagon, or automobile, is not a mere privilege which may be permitted or prohibited at will, but a common right which he has under his right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.'

The draft Wharton State Forest Visitor Vehicle Use Map will also be released for viewing online at noon on Jan. 24, in conjunction with the start of the open house.

MEETING LOCATION
The Batsto Visitor Center is located at 31 Batsto Road in Hammonton. Due to the building’s capacity limit, there may be a wait to enter the open house.

PUBLIC COMMENT
In addition to the in-person open house, those interested in reviewing and commenting on the Wharton Visitor Vehicle Use Map and associated materials will also be able to view and submit comments online.

An online public comment period will be available for 45 days, from Jan. 24 until Mar. 9, for those who are unable to attend in person.

VISITOR VEHICLE USE MAP OVERVIEW
The Visitor Vehicle Use Map clearly delineates safe, legal routes through Wharton State Forest, on which a licensed driver can drive their street legal, registered and insured vehicle. Preexisting motor vehicle regulations will remain unchanged with ATVs, side-by-sides, non-street-legal enduros and other illegal off-road vehicles restricted from all areas of the forest.

DATA
Data to create the Visitor Vehicle Use Map was gathered through an extensive stakeholdering process, during which more than 1,600 people submitted surveys, noting areas of interest and routes that were important to them. Additionally, DEP data on endangered, threatened and of conservation concern plant and animal species; wetlands; historic and cultural resources; and Natural Areas and Natural Heritage Priority Sites were taken into consideration during the Visitor Vehicle Use Map’s development.
