Year THREE of being a leader for The Climb Team Effingham 🤍

This event and mission are incredibly personal to me. My own experiences through motherhood, postpartum OCD, anxiety, depression, birth trauma, and blending families have shaped not only who I am as a person, but also the work I do every day supporting the perinatal community. I often say that some of my hardest seasons led me to my greatest passion — helping parents feel less alone.

What started as simply wanting to bring awareness to maternal mental health in our community has grown into something so meaningful. Watching families come together, hearing stories of support and healing, and seeing our community rally around parents each year reminds me why this matters so much.

I’m beyond grateful to continue serving as a leader for The Climb and to partner with Postpartum Support International in sharing hope, education, resources, and connection. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this mission year after year — I truly cannot wait for this year’s event 🤍

We are so excited to officially welcome Madysen as a Climb Leader for The Climb – Team Effingham 2026 💙✨

Madysen’s story is one of incredible love, loss, strength, and compassion. After the loss of her sweet son, Warryn, in May 2025, she found connection and support through other moms who truly understood the grief and challenges of navigating motherhood after loss. From that pain, she has chosen to pour love back into others and help create safe spaces for moms and families in our community.

Madysen is also a wife, school nurse, dog mama, and an amazing advocate for maternal mental health and loss support. She founded the Star Legacy Foundation – South Central IL Chapter and now joins us in helping lead The Climb – Team Effingham as we continue raising awareness, breaking stigma, and building community for parents everywhere.

Her heart for showing up for others is truly inspiring, and we are beyond grateful to have her as part of this year’s team. 💛

Please help us give Madysen a warm welcome!

Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day đź’›

As both a mom and a perinatal mental health provider, this day holds a deep and personal meaning for me.

My passion for this work didn’t just come from training—it came from lived experience. I’ve navigated the complexities of motherhood in many forms… stepping into a stepmom role, blending families, and facing my own challenges with postpartum OCD, depression, and birth trauma. There were moments that felt heavy, isolating, and overwhelming—but they also led me to this path of supporting others.

I found so much hope and connection through Postpartum Support International—their advocacy, education, and support for parents is truly life-changing. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about ensuring no parent feels alone in what they’re experiencing.

Today is about awareness—but it’s also about compassion.

To the moms who are in the thick of it…
To those adjusting, grieving, healing, or just trying to get through the day…
To those navigating new roles, identity shifts, or unexpected journeys…

You are not alone.
You are worthy of support.
And your mental health matters—at every stage.

Let’s continue to show up for moms, check in on one another, and break the silence around maternal mental health 💛
