Did you know one of the most important moments in American labor history has ties to Edwardsville?

Join us on Sunday, September 6 at 1:00 p.m. for the Fred Long Labor Day Tribute as we honor 19-year-old coal miner E. Fred Long, who lost his life during the Battle of Virden in 1898.

This free community event includes a miners' procession, music, living history, and the unveiling of a historic marker at Fred's gravesite.

Are you joining us for Edwardsville Earth Day Festival on April 18 on Bike?

Start the day by joining the community bike ride to the Watershed Nature Center. The ride departs from Richard’s Woods at 9:30 a.m., with additional join points along the route using the Bike Bus model organized by the Edwardsville Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
