Foster Pet Outreach is a local non-profit organization, 501(c)(3), whose main focus is to help provide for the well being of animals in our community. We believe that abandoned, injured, or neglected animals deserve the same care and concern, as do our own companion animals. Our members feel that they have the responsibility to address the general needs of this community's animals and to champion the rights of those worthwhile beings with whom we share our world. Foster Pet Outreach seeks to educate the community in the topics of pet over-population and the necessity of responsible pet ownership. We also bring to local attention the plight of animals who have been denied the basic necessities for a quality life. Foster Pet Outreach wishes that everyone recognize the dignity and worth of all animals

Meet Reed — a little 11-pound bundle of wiggles, curiosity, and pure puppy happiness! 🐶💕

At just 12 weeks old, Reed has already mastered the art of making friends. His philosophy seems to be: “Stranger? Not for long!” 😍 He loves people, thinks other dogs are the best thing ever, and is always ready to see what fun might be waiting around the corner.

🐾 Makes friends wherever he goes
🐾 Has never met a dog he didn’t want to play with
🐾 Is curious about absolutely EVERYTHING
🐾 Has plenty of puppy zoomies and playful antics to share
🐾 Gives the sweetest cuddles after he’s finished exploring
🐾 Is affectionate without being shy about asking for attention ❤️
🐾 Is already doing an awesome job with puppy pads! 👏

And that face? Those eyes? That little puppy personality? Reed is basically a walking invitation to smile. 🥹❤️

We believe Reed is a mixed breed, likely with some hound in the mix. He’s currently about 11 pounds and expected to grow to around 30–40 pounds, making him a wonderful medium-sized adventure buddy. His mama is only 24 pounds, so he may stay on the smaller side of that estimate.

Reed is still just a baby, which means he’s looking for a family ready to help him learn, grow, and become the amazing dog he’s meant to be. He’ll bring the puppy energy… you bring the patience, love, and maybe a good supply of toys. 😉🐾

🐶Meet Berlin!! 🐶 He finished his heartworm treatment and is ready to find his forever home!

Here is what his foster mom had to say about him!

-The best way to describe him is HAPPY. 😃 He’s the happiest dog I’ve ever met.
-He loves to play, chase a ball and he particularly loooooves to tear up stuffies.
-Hes never met a stranger, human or dog. Hes so funny, goofy and obviously very handsome.
-Berlin is a THIEF. Shoes, remotes, anything goes.
-He also likes to slap. I think it’s an attention seeking behavior? Like if he wants to play he’ll slap me or my dogs.
-He’s also VERY vocal if he feels left out.
-He is a heavy shedder (because he’s part husky if I had to guess)
-He can be a little pushy with my cats. My cats will stand their ground so he tends to leave them alone after that but I think he’d chase a more skittish cat that will run away.
All and all I think in the right home he’ll be someone’s best friend!

The annual Bark in the Park event is this Saturday September 26 from 10-2 at Tower Park in Peoria Heights!

Foster Pet Outreach currently has several wonderful cats and kittens waiting for families of their own! 🏠🐾

From playful and goofy to sweet and cuddly, there’s a personality for everyone. Orange has been a color theme this kitten season but please check out Petfinder or Adopt-A-Pet for all cats/kittens available ❤️

🐾 Jasmine— (female) 4 months old, she is very friendly, loves to talk, curious, litter trained, loves to play but maybe a little shy at first, good with dogs and cats and kids in her foster home.
🐾 Beaker— (male) 3 months old, He is super sweet, active, gets along with the other cats and dogs in his foster home. Litter trained and is fine with having his nails trimmed.
🐾 Bunsen— (male) 3 months old Bunson likes to be cuddled! He is super sweet, active, gets along with all the other cats and dogs in his foster home. Litter trained and fine with having their nails trimmed.
🐾 Rajah-(female) 4 months old litter trained, She is good with kids, cats, and dogs in her foster home, playful, and curious. She may be a little shy at first but warms up quickly.

All of our adoptable cats receive age appropriate vaccines, spay/ neuter, flea/tick preventative, and lots of love they need while waiting for their forever homes!

Our adoption fee is currently 50.00 for
cats/kittens!

Welcome Oksana to Foster Pet Outreach. She is a recent transfer from a local animal control. She came into animal control with a wound on her leg from a chain. She is silly and loving and estimated to be a year old. Stay tuned for details as we learn more about this beautiful girl.

Meet Oak! 🐾💙

Oak is a 4 month old Chihuahua mix and the largest of his litter. He’s a sweet boy who loves to run, play and enjoy all the fun that comes with being a puppy!

Oak is still working on house training and kennel training, so he’ll need a patient family ready to help him learn. If you’re looking for a playful, loving little companion, Oak may be your perfect match!

Oak is fostered in the Peoria, IL area.
