🚨 YOUTH CENTER CLOSURE – TODAY, OCTOBER 2 🚨

Attention Edwards AFB families:

The Youth Center, Building 5210, will be CLOSED for the remainder of today, October 2, 2026, due to HVAC issues causing temperatures inside the facility to reach unsafe levels for our youth.

In accordance with our AFI requirements, we must close the facility for the afternoon. Every effort is being made to correct the HVAC issue as quickly as possible.

An email will go out as soon as an update on the situation is available.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. The health and safety of our youth remains our top priority. ❤️

🎪🚒 OPERATION HIGH DESERT HONOR: FIRST RESPONDERS APPRECIATION CARNIVAL 🚓🚑

Edwards Youth Programs was proud to bring our community together today for Operation High Desert Honor, a special First Responders Appreciation Carnival honoring the incredible men and women who serve and protect our community. ❤️🤍💙

Families, youth, first responders, Active Duty members, Veterans, and community members joined us at the Youth Center for an afternoon filled with carnival games, face painting, arts & crafts, activities, food, outreach booths, and plenty of family fun! 🎯🎨🎪

Our youth also had the opportunity to be part of the event, helping with activities and demonstrating what Youth Programs is all about—leadership, service, teamwork, and giving back to our Edwards community. 💙

Most importantly, we took time to recognize our First Responders and honor the significance of September 11th. We are grateful for those who answer the call to serve every day and for the sacrifices made by first responders, service members, and their families.

A huge THANK YOU to our Youth Programs staff, youth volunteers, community partners, participating organizations, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Seeing our Edwards community come together made the day truly special!

This event was made possible through 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps.

🌿🐒 THE JUNGLE ZONE HAS NEW HOURS! 🐒🌿

Calling all families with little explorers! 🦁🐯 Come CLIMB • PLAY • IMAGINE • SMILE at the Jungle Zone Indoor Play Area!

Beginning September 15, 2026, the Jungle Zone will be open:

🗓️ Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
⏰ 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
👶 Ages 0–6
💲 $25 per family, per month
🦒 Parent-supervised soft play area

💻 Register through CYPBMS! Shot records are required for registration.

⚠️ Important: When registering in CYPBMS, please register EVERY child in your family who will be participating in the Jungle Zone.

Come let your little ones burn some energy, make new friends, and have some jungle-sized fun! 🌴🐵🦜
