Great things happen when the right people come together, and we’re excited about the possibility of welcoming new faces and fresh ideas to our STLC family!

We were honored to join South Texas Health System for the Think Pink 5K, an event dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and su***de prevention while bringing our community together in support, compassion, and hope. 🩷

📚 As part of the event, South Texas Literacy Coalition gave away 400 FREE books to members of our community! We believe that access to books, knowledge, and meaningful resources can help create stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, picked up a book, and supported this important cause. Together, we can remind our community that you are never alone, your story matters, and there is always hope. 💕📖

We were honored to join South Texas Health System Behavioral for their Chalk the Walk for Su***de Awareness event, where we had the opportunity to share 250 free books with children and families in our community.

Events like this remind us of the importance of coming together, spreading hope, and making sure people know they are never alone. 💚

Thank you to South Texas Health System Behavioral for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful event and for continuing to raise awareness around mental health and su***de prevention.

📚💚 Together, we can build a community rooted in literacy, connection, and hope.

🇺🇸📚 Honoring a life of service, courage, and a love for reading.

We are honored to dedicate one of our Little Free Libraries in loving memory of Eduardo Garza, a proud U.S. Army veteran.

Eduardo dedicated 21 years of his life to serving our country, with his service taking him to Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. But beyond his years in uniform, Eduardo was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor, and friend. He was known for the values he carried throughout his life honor, perseverance, humility, and devotion to others.

Eduardo was also an avid reader who believed in the power of education and cherished books about bravery and courage. It is especially meaningful that this Little Free Library will carry that love of reading forward, giving children and families in the Citrus Park and Edinburg communities the opportunity to discover stories, learn, and grow.

May every book shared through this library serve as a small continuation of Eduardo’s legacy a legacy rooted in service, knowledge, community, and love.

We are grateful for his service and honored to help keep his memory alive through something he loved so dearly. 🇺🇸❤️📖

Rest in eternal peace, Mr. Garza. Your service, sacrifice, and love will never be forgotten.
