Rotary is more than a weekly meeting. It's a network of neighbors, business leaders, and professionals who come together to create positive change in our community and around the world through service, fellowship, and leadership.

We're excited to have Dr. Havener join our Rotary family and look forward to the ideas, experience, and passion he'll bring to our club.

In true Edinburg Rotary tradition, our presidents take a shot of tequila when they agree to serve and another when they officially step into the role. So, cheers to Casey as he begins this new chapter of leadership! 🥃👏

As we begin a new Rotary year under our theme, A Legacy of Service, we are building on the incredible momentum of a year that showed what is possible when we are All In. All Together.

During the 2025–2026 Rotary year, the Rotary Club of Edinburg contributed 167 volunteer hours and supported more than 20 projects and community initiatives, including:

• Annual Edinburg Cares Food Drive
• Make-A-Wish Rio Grande Valley
• Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
• Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV
• Sabrina Walker Hernandez Memorial Bench
• The Guerrero Surgery and Education Center
• Hunters for the Hungry
• Senior Scholarships
• Palm Valley Animal Society C.A.R.E. Camp
• Kids Produce Market at the Food Bank RGV
• AltaCair San Carlos Community Closet
• In His Steps Ballet
• Tim’s Coats
• Juvenil del Sur Mariachi and South Middle School’s Carnegie Hall performance
• KRGV Cares Closet
• Safe Kids Injury Prevention Event
• Rio Grande Valley LEAD Innovation Hub

Through club funding and 14 Service Over Self Foundation grants, more than $105,580 was invested in education, health, hunger relief, youth development and community service.

We are proud of everything our members, partners and supporters accomplished together. As we look ahead, we carry forward even greater hopes, renewed energy and a commitment to making this year even more impactful than the last.

Together, we will continue building A Legacy of Service for Edinburg and the communities we serve.

Congratulations to our Edinburg Rotary Scholarship recipients! 🎓✨

As Rotarians, The Four-Way Test is our guide for the things we think, say, and do:

Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Each of these students shared a meaningful understanding of how The Four-Way Test shows up in their own lives through their choices, character, leadership, and service.
We are so proud of each and every one of them and wish them the very best as they begin their collegiate endeavors. The future is bright, and we cannot wait to see the impact they will continue to make. 💙💛

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Youth Chair, Rosa Ybarra, for her dedication to our youth programs. From coordinating scholarship applications to supporting our RYLA students and helping guide the process with care and organization, Rosa gives so much of her time and heart to make these opportunities possible. Edinburg Rotary deeply appreciates her hard work and commitment to the next generation of leaders.

Thank you as well to our Scholarship Committee, Edinburg Rotary Board members, and the SOS Foundation for helping make these scholarships possible. Your support, leadership, and commitment to service continue to create meaningful opportunities for students in our community.
