🎉 Congratulations to Cornerstone Lutheran High School, our 2026 Volunteer Organization of the Year!

Last school year, Cornerstone students showed an incredible commitment to serving our community, volunteering at Feed My People 16 times and contributing an amazing 385 hours of service!

Led by Principal Chad Marohn, these students consistently showed up ready to work, willing to help, and eager to make a difference. They were reliable, hardworking, respectful, and always brought a great attitude with them. They quickly became a group we knew we could count on!

From sorting donations to tackling projects in our Project Area, these students made a real impact. And they’re taking that commitment even further this school year by bringing freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to volunteer each month!

We’re so grateful to Chad, the teachers, and the students at Cornerstone for making service such an important part of their school experience and helping us fight hunger and feed hope in our community.

Thank you for showing up, jumping in, and making a difference for our neighbors. We’re so glad to have you as part of the Feed My People family!

Congratulations, Cornerstone Lutheran High School!

💙 Celebrating our 2026 Lifetime Achievement Volunteer of the Year, LorRae Fellenz!

Some volunteers make a difference through the hours they give, and others become such an important part of an organization that it’s hard to imagine being without them. LorRae is one of those people!

For years, LorRae has generously shared her time with Feed My People, volunteering at our front desk three mornings a week. She welcomes visitors, answers calls, helps keep things running smoothly, and makes our days a little brighter with her humor, stories, and willingness to help wherever she’s needed.

LorRae has become so much more than a volunteer. She’s part of our team, someone we count on, and a familiar face we truly look forward to seeing.

LorRae, thank you for your years of dedication, your dependability, and all the little things you do that make such a big difference. Your legacy of service is a wonderful example of what it means to be part of the Feed My People family.

Congratulations, LorRae, on this well-deserved recognition! We are so grateful for you and everything you do to help feed healthy futures. 💙

💙 Celebrating 10 Years of Volunteering at Feed My People!

A decade of showing up, lending a hand, and making a difference in our community deserves to be celebrated!

As part of our Volunteer Appreciation celebration, we recognized the volunteers who have been part of the Feed My People family for 10 years. Their continued dedication and commitment to our mission mean so much to us and to the neighbors we serve.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and we're incredibly grateful for those who have chosen to give their time and talents to Feed My People year after year.

To our 10-year volunteers, thank you for being part of our journey, for continuing to show up, and for helping us fight hunger and feed hope in west central Wisconsin.

We're so grateful for you!

Here's to 10 years of making a difference, and many more to come! 💙

Last Tuesday, we took a pause. 💚

We stepped away from the day-to-day hustle to come together and celebrate some of the incredible volunteers who make Feed My People Food Bank what it is. These are the volunteers who show up again and again, generously giving their time, sharing their talents, and helping us move our mission forward.

And when we look at what that dedication has added up to so far in 2026, it’s pretty amazing!

💚 18,306 volunteer hours
💚 1,768 individuals who have volunteered
💚 75+ organizations and businesses
💚 145,000+ miles driven by volunteer drivers

Behind those numbers are countless acts of kindness and a whole lot of teamwork. From greeting guests at the front desk and delivering food across our communities to picking orders, repacking bulk food, labeling bags and cans, and working in our Project Area, every role matters.

Each hour, each task, and each familiar face is part of something bigger. Together, our volunteers help us feed healthy futures and provide food to individuals and families throughout west central Wisconsin.

During our annual Volunteer Appreciation event, we also had the privilege of recognizing some truly exceptional contributions to our mission.

Stay tuned as we celebrate our Dedicated 10 Year Volunteers, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Volunteer Organization of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year!

To all of our volunteers, thank you for continuing to show up, roll up your sleeves, and be part of this work. The time you give makes a real difference, and together, we're accomplishing so much more than any one of us could do alone.

🎉 We set a goal of 2,100 volunteer hours in September. You gave us 2,101!

And here's the part we really love: those 2,101 hours came from 401 different volunteers. ❤️

That's a lot of hours, but it's also a lot of wonderful people each giving what they could.

So, if you've ever thought, "I can only volunteer for a couple of hours," we want you to know that a couple of hours matters.

In fact, 2,101 hours spread across 401 volunteers averages out to just over 5 hours per volunteer for the month.

You don't have to do it all. You don't have to volunteer every week. You don't even have to give a huge amount of time.

But doing something adds up.

Every hour you give helps Feed My People get food where it's needed and makes a difference in the lives of your neighbors, right here in our community.

So if you've been thinking about volunteering but wondering whether you have enough time, we hope you'll remember this: there's no such thing as "only" two hours.

Two hours from you + two hours from someone else + two hours from another person = an amazing difference for our community.

Thank you to all 401 volunteers who helped us reach our September goal! We are so grateful for every single hour you gave. ❤️

Fight Hunger. Feed Hope.
