Head Start and Early Head Start play an important role in the lives of many children and families in our communities. They provide early learning experiences while also connecting families with health, nutrition, developmental, and other essential supports.

The federal Administration for Children and Families has proposed significant changes to the Head Start Program Performance Standards. These changes could affect how programs operate and provide services to children and families.

As a Child Care Resource & Referral agency, Child Care Partnership values our strong relationships with local Head Start and Early Head Start partners. We see the difference these programs make for children, families, and our entire early childhood community.

We are sharing this information so families, early childhood professionals, and community partners can stay informed. These changes are currently proposed and have not yet become final. The shared post provides more information about what is being considered.
