Helping Others

Giving Mac expands access to technology and immersive wellness media—supporting students through educational device donations, and helping veterans and first responders through mental health and recovery initiatives. Our work is powered by refurbished tech, financial support, and community-driven fundraising.

Accept, refurbish, and sell technology to extend its life and impact

Use proceeds from tech sales to fund meaningful charitable initiatives

Equip students with Apple devices and transform community spaces with immersive therapy tools, digital wellness solutions, and Atmosphere Systems

Giving Mac, Inc. is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful impact in our communities through technology and wellness. What began as a program to provide Apple computers to students in need has grown into a mission that also supports veterans and first responders by installing immersive wellness systems in hospitals, care centers, and community facilities. These systems feature stunning nature films and calming content designed to promote relaxation, mindfulness, and mental health. By connecting students, veterans, first responders, and communities with the tools and environments they need to thrive, Giving Mac is building a future where technology and wellness come together to inspire hope, healing, and opportunity.

WEAU 13 News – Helping Share Our Story

A special thank you to WEAU 13 News and the Hello Wisconsin team for helping Giving Mac share the story behind our 2nd Annual Gun & Tech Banquet and, more importantly, the reason we host it.

On October 6, WEAU featured Giving Mac and our upcoming banquet on Hello Wisconsin, helping bring attention to our mission of supporting veteran wellness throughout the Chippewa Valley and Wisconsin. Their coverage highlighted how proceeds from the banquet help Giving Mac bring the calming power of nature and technology into veteran care facilities.

For a small nonprofit like Giving Mac, having a trusted local news organization help tell our story makes a tremendous difference. It allows us to reach people who may not have heard about our work, explain where the money raised through the banquet goes, and show what our community can accomplish when businesses, organizations, volunteers, and individuals come together for our veterans.

We sincerely appreciate WEAU 13 News and Hello Wisconsin for giving us the opportunity to share our mission and for continuing to shine a spotlight on organizations working to make the Chippewa Valley a better place.

Thank you, Jhett Sherry and WEAU 13, for helping us spread the word and create brighter tomorrows for Wisconsin veterans.

Banquet Update

With the banquet just one week away, we are grateful for the incredible support from our community—and that community reaches far beyond Eau Claire! Supporters from Chippewa Falls, Altoona, Menomonie, Tilden, Bloomer, Chetek, Cameron, Rice Lake, Cadott, Elk Mound, Wilson, Mondovi, Eleva, and Strum are coming together to make this a memorable evening. (sorry if I missed your town)

Are we full? Almost! We can still make room for a few more reserved tables and individual guests, but space is limited. Once these remaining spots are filled, we’ll be at capacity. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time to reserve your place!
