Turning Childhood Toys Into Art | Chris Bordenca

Vintage toys. Childhood memories. A return to painting.

Artist Chris Bordenca joins Warrior’s Art Room to talk about the stories behind his colorful paintings of vintage toys—from Godzilla and Transformers to the objects that stayed in his memory for decades.

Chris shares how he rediscovered painting after years away, why he decided to make art for himself, and how family, nostalgia, and imagination shape his work. We also walk through the gallery to explore his paintings up close—and find out why LEGO is so difficult to paint.

Which childhood toy would you love to see in a painting? Tell us in the comments.

Follow Warrior’s Art Room for more artist interviews and creative conversations.
