Thanks to all who attended *A Walk in the Floodplain; a guided walk with Marty Klein * at Dwyer Conservation Area this weekend! The walk was well attended by ~25 folks who participated in identifying flora utilizing iNaturalist app as part of the City Nature Challenge 2026.

Keep an eye out for the next walk in PCT's guided walk series.

Come learn about and identify Easthampton species with the City Conservation Agent and Pascommuck Conservation Trust! On Sunday, April 26th, Easthampton is participating in a global bioblitz, an effort to document as many wild species as possible. No plant identification skills necessary to participate, just a phone with a camera and a love for our Easthampton ecosystems and trails!

AMPHIBIAN MIGRATION HELP NEEDED

Sometime in the next few weeks the annual mass amphibian migration will happen on a warm rainy night.
PCT is assisting community member, Jesse Sterling Harrison, with their effort to reduce roadway mortality during the migration near Broad Brook/Hendrick St.
Would you like to help?
Email Jesse ([email protected]) to get on the volunteer list and for more information. Please add something like “amphibians” in the subject line.

We cannot say for certain which night this will take place so we’d like to have a robust list of volunteers to contact when the time comes.

From Jesse: I have a site in mind near my house and would love to get volunteers to help critters across the road. Pains will be taken to make sure people don't get run over either.

Unfortunately, we need to postpone our Annual Meeting due to illness and the weather. Thank you for your understanding

The presentation is just too good to miss and we have some exciting news to share that merits a full house. We will pick a new date as soon as possible, probably late March or early April.

Stay warm and dry!
