Wingspan, a compelling solo exhibit in the Easthampton City Arts Gallery by artist Falcon Laina features work that is deeply introspective, utilizing a dark and evocative style to explore the body’s capacity for both vulnerability and transformation.

On display from June 6 through June 25, the centerpiece of the show is a hollow ceramic marionette suspended from a steel frame, a sculpture that speaks to the delicate balance between being a container and relying on external support. Surrounding this central figure is an "archive of dreams," a collection of silver gelatin prints, drawings, and found objects that document a complex inner world. Drawing from his experience as a transmasculine artist, Falcon uses ceramics, steel, and ink to navigate the spiritual and emotional mutations of the human form.

Join us for Art Walk and the Artist Reception on Saturday, June 6, from 4-7pm where you can engage with Falcon’s work and explore the intimate, powerful storytelling within this new collection.
