❤️ Kindness in a heartbreaking moment.

Today on my walk, a speeding car struck a cat and drove away, leaving the little one to die at my feet.

As I called 911, a young man stopped to help. He covered the cat with a blanket, called the owner using the number on the collar, and stayed with me until the police arrived.

In a moment of shock and sadness, his compassion reminded me that good people still exist.

I have a feeling it wasn’t this young man’s first heroic act.

Today was a painful reminder of how fragile life is, but also how much a simple act of kindness can mean. May we all choose to be the person who stops, who cares, and who shows up when someone needs us. ❤️🐾
