HISTORY
The Pilipino American Student Society is the vision of a small group of Filipino-American friends at Michigan State University. A group of 7 individuals came together in the APA Heritage room of MSU for their first meeting in September 1991. This small band of visionaries had high hopes of bringing more Filipino students together on campus, and unknowingly became the foundation of a large,

supportive, and active Pilipino group that branches to both coastlines and beyond. OUR VALUES

❓ What’s Rice Bowl? ❓
The ultimate MSU PASS vs UMich FASA showdown — a full day of games, chaos, and unforgettable memories. Revived in 2023 as a historic tradition, and somehow getting bigger and better every year 🔥

This summer, Rice Bowl will be held in East Lansing! Let’s make this Rice Bowl one to remember. Expect games like Tug-Of-War, Volleyball, Basketball, Capture The Flag, Dodgeball, Caterpillar, and Valorant.

‼️NOTE: Valorant will be held the day before the event, on June 12th.

Who will take home the trophy this year?
Will it be PASS? Or will it be FASA? 👀

Whether you’re competing or just coming for the vibes, we want YOU there. Grab your friends, bring the energy, and sign up using the interest form in PASS or FASA’s bio!

Showcasing our General Body Merch for the 2025–2026 academic year, the Pamilya Collection, are CJ Agarpo, Issa Marudo, Mikko Ko, and Ted Misola.

This year’s collection features a jersey-inspired design. Centered on the front is the number 1991, a tribute to the founding year of PASS, alongside a reimagined PASS logo and the word “pamilya” (“family” in Tagalog) displayed across the top. The back highlights the Sampaguita flower, the national flower of the Philippines. Altogether, the design reflects the Filipino culture and community that we hold close to our hearts.

We love seeing our members proudly styling our merchandise, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see our work appreciated and supported. Keep an eye out for next year’s design as all General Body Members will receive a T-shirt as part of their PASS membership! ✌️

This year at the Annual Banquet, celebrating APIDA/A seniors, your MSU PASS proudly accepted the Community Impact Award! 🇵🇭

We are honored to be recognized alongside so many other impactful organizations for our commitment to service, outreach, and uplifting our community. A few years ago, PASS was also recognized at this same banquet as the Most Outstanding Organization in 2024, making this achievement even more meaningful as we continue to build on that momentum.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated executive board, hardworking interns, and most importantly, our amazing general body. This recognition belongs to all of you just as much as it does to us. Thank you for continuing to allow PASS to be a space for impact, growth, and community.
