On Friday October 2nd Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Andrew T. Inorio attended the topping off at the Osborn Memorial Labs Project at Yale University. Thank you to Yale and Suffolk for hosting a luncheon for all our members working on the project to celebrate Osborn Labs which is often referred to as the Gateway to Science Hill.

At the 27th LIUNA International Convention Laborers’ Local 455 Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Andrew T. Inorio served as a Sergeant-At-Arms to the convention.
Congratulations to General President Brent Booker, General Secretary-Treasurer Michael Sabitoni, LIUNA Vice President/New England Regional Manager Donato Bianco, and all the General Executive Board members on their election to serve this great union.

On Wednesday September 16th in recognition of National Su***de Prevention Awareness month Dimeo Construction partnered with Tri-State EAP and Laborers’ Local 455 to speak to members across the Building Trades about su***de prevention and recognizing warning signs at the Yale Ray Tompkins House project. Thank you to Yale, Dimeo, Tri-State EAP, and all the members who participated to communicate this important message.

One of the most rewarding parts of serving as the Business Manager of Laborers’ Local 455 is seeing the next generation of skilled laborers come into the industry.
Recently, I had the opportunity to meet Jonathan Maza a new apprentice on the I-691/91 project in Meriden.
As a senior at East Haven High School Jonathan participated in and graduated from the CT State Building Trades Training Institute Apprentice Readiness Program.
Programs like this are about more than getting someone ready for a career. They’re about opening doors, building confidence, creating opportunities, and giving people a pathway into the middle class through skilled union careers.
I’m very proud to see the program making a difference—and even prouder to see our graduates putting their hard work into action.

On Wednesday September 2, 2026, the CT State Building Trades held their first ever Labor Day legislative breakfast.
Thank you to all of the elected officials and candidates that attended to support working families this Labor Day.

Twenty-five years later, we remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed that day.
We honor the nearly 3,000 innocent people who lost their lives, the first responders, and everyday heroes who ran toward danger, and the families affected.
Thank you to the men and women of the trades, and all those involved who rebuilt the World Trade Center complex displaying American ingenuity and symbolizing freedom.

On Tuesday August 18, Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Andrew T. Inorio once again attended the New England Laborers’ Educational Round Table. Laborers’ Local 455 partners with local high schools, non-profits, and other job funnels to offer young men and women an opportunity at a career in the trades that offers living wages, health benefits, and retirement. Thank you to the New England Region for once again hosting, and to all the leaders and educators who participated in robust discussions to serve members of the community and recruit our LiUNA brothers and sisters of tomorrow! #455
