Friday night the Teen Center was filled with colorful paint palettes and delicious pizza. Lilli Ranney, a junior at East Greenwich High School, guided the creative group, drawing inspiration from her beautiful jellyfish paintings. We love seeing youth advocate for what they believe in!

There’s no minimum age requirement for demanding progress at the RI State House! Dozens of kids came to the Rhode Island Senate for the RI School Recycling Project student lobby day in support of my bill to improve school composting and waste management. I’m so proud of my constituents, Shaughn (SJ) and Kiernan Coyne from Stony Lane Elementary in North Kingstown, who did a great job making their case to Senator Appollonio and others. They are doing the work in their cafeterias every day and fighting to reduce food waste and encourage environmentally-friendly practices like composting and effective recycling in our schools. Way to go! 🙌🌎♻️
