The Helen Bumpus Gallery is a non profit Art Gallery located in the Duxbury Free Library.

It exhibits artists work form the New England area. The Gallery was started and founded by Helen McBurnie Bumpus of Duxbury in 1968. The Helen Bumpus Gallery was founded in 1968 with a gift from Helen McBurnie Bumpus, who was born in 1891 and died at the age of 92 in 1983 in Duxbury. Her gift to the town established an art gallery in the rotunda of the original 1909 building that housed the Duxbury Free Library. The Helen Bumpus Gallery is now located in the center of the new Duxbury Free Library.

NOW SHOWING: Kathy Ferrara with her show, "Duxbury - Sights and Delights" will be at the gallery through December 2026.

"I see beauty in the simplest of things:
Dew drops on a spiderweb.
A pat of butter melting on a hot scone.
Light glistening on the facet of a cut crystal vase.
The grain patterns on a piece of wood.

Through my art, I strive to convey the beauty that is all around us, and evoke delight in those who may see the world through my point of view. " Kathy Ferrara
