Hear Ye, Hear Ye, save the date! On July 11 from 10-4 the Dunkirk Indiana Historical Society will be hosting a celebration in the Depot Park of our nation's 250th Anniversary. We will have food trucks and vendors demonstrating pioneer arts such as weaving, basket making, soap making, honey & maple syrup and more. It will be a great time for all. Come out and celebrate with us. Stick around for the live band concert held by the Beautification Committee later in the evening (bring your lawn chairs for the concert). Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Welcome to our page!! It is February 1st and here I am with the "Item of the Month"
Freshly acquired at auction is the fabulous Masonic Lodge photo. I have reached out to a resource to try to determine the year. The back of the photo reads as follows:

Masonic Lodge No. 275, Dunkirk, Ind.

Halleck Johnson
William Whetsel
Ike McKinney
James Wingate
Abraham Kieser
Peter Bishop
Dr. Frazier
James McCormikel (sp?)
Mills Cunningham
William Wilson
William Garr
Abe Koons
____ Bell
____ Beckley

If anyone recognizes any of these names as a relative, perhaps you could help nail down the time period. Enjoy. and Visit Us Soon.

Well, its a new year and I have failed miserably at posting an "Item of the Month". So, 2 weeks late, but here it is. Also asking for anyone with other "garage bands" to send us photos etc. These were prevalent in the 60s. We are fortunate to have received this gem!
