An Albany Christmas

An Albany Christmas The Albany Christmas committee is a group of volunteers who chose to make a difference in their community.

Approximately 50% of the students in the local school district are on free or reduced lunch programs.

“An Albany Christmas” provides help for many of these families by providing financial assistance at holiday time. The funding for this comes mainly from the golf tournament via teams, hole sponsors and in-kind donations from local organizations and merchants that the committee hosts each year in

July at The Albany Golf Club. Our other fundraiser is the Christy Bilby Memorial 5K Fun Run held in November, also at The Albany Golf Club. An Albany Christmas also purchases, sets up and takes down the Christmas light ground displays. We also organize the downtown Christmas celebration in December.

We have begun our annual golf outing fundraiser. As many of you know our main purpose is to help local children have a brighter Christmas. We also purchase the ground Christmas light displays. Those lights are installed and maintained by our dedicated volunteers. We also organize the downtown Christmas celebration. Make a donation, be a corporate sponsor or play in the golf tournament.
