Last week we visited West Jay Elementary to honor these students with the Kiwanis Kharachter Award.

This award is put in place so that EVERY child gets to hear some praise about their character. Teachers were challenged to help us define positive traits that each child may possess.

The medals we sent our 6th graders off with said "May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are and the difference you make."

I hope we made a difference in even just one child today. These kids are our tomorrow. Lets nurture them today!!

Please help tag parents. We did this a little differently this year. We included their teachers words on each picture description, hopefully its easier to read!

Special thanks to the teachers for taking time to help us!
Mrs. Huffman, Thank you too!

Today, show just one act of kindness and watch the reaction you get!

Watching these kids time after time bounce into the room to hear what their teacher has to say is so exciting. I'm certain we touched a couple of kids today.

Watching these kids time after time bounce into the room to hear what President Zack has to say is so exciting. He got to read about his own son this time and that was a fun experience!

At West Jay we had a 6th grader state their sadness that they would not get this honor ever again. Maybe we did make a difference...

Watching these kids time after time bounce into the room to hear what President Zack has to say is so exciting. The words, this time we had a teacher describe her student as a chameleon. This was new for us and opened a great dialogue.
