They say a picture is worth a thousand words. These pictures tell a story of love in action, neighbors serving neighbors, and a community that shows up. What a beautiful story it has been. ❤️

A huge thank you to Duncan Chisholm Trail Kiwanis Key Club members - Patty Wininger and the many faithful volunteers who showed up week after week, always ready to serve with a smile.

Thank you to Aimee Snyder-Davis and everyone who helped treat our kids to popsicles, watermelon, and ice cream during our final week.

To Richard Phillips —thank you for the FRUIT! For all nine weeks, you faithfully delivered fresh fruit for our families.

And to Life's Hope, thank you for bringing hope in so many ways. Every Thursday, you blessed our families with weekend bags and encouragement.

The tables have been put away, the coolers emptied, but the summer memories are forever tucked into our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this summer possible. We couldn't do it without you.

Immanuel Baptist Church helped us get through this scorcher of a week. Not only do they faithfully serve as one of our Grab & Go meal sites, but they'll also be hosting Vacation Bible School (VBS) next week. If you're looking for a great place for your kids to have fun, make new friends, and learn about Jesus, be sure to check them out!

We ended the week with a cookout provided by Arvest Bank at our stay and play site. Nothing brings smiles quite like good food, great company, and a community that continues to show up for our kids.

It's hard to believe, but next week is our final week of Summer Food & Fun. This summer has flown by, and we're already soaking up every last laugh, game, meal, and memory. Let's make this last week the best one yet! ☀️

A huge thank you to Family Dollar Distribution for allowing your team members to spend the week serving our community. We know there are many places you could have been, and we're so grateful you chose to spend your time loving on our kids and families. When you showed up with ICE CREAM, you instantly became everyone's favorite people! 🍦❤️

Another big thank you to Life's Hope for the amazing assortment of goodies for our weekend bags. Packing those bags is always one of our favorite jobs because it's like preparing little surprise boxes of love. We may be adults, but we're just as excited as the kids to see what treasures are going in each week!

Thank you for reminding our children that they are seen, loved, and supported by a community that cares deeply for them. Sometimes it looks like a lunch in a brown paper bag, or an ice cream cone, sometimes it's a weekend bag, but it always feels like love. 🥰

This week's volunteers were as sweet as the Bit-O-Honey candy we were gifted by a friend at one of our grab and go sites. 🍯❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Tanglewood Fellowship - Sheldon Dillman and Connection Church - Kelle Jeffrey for coming together to serve our families and kiddos this week. We love seeing churches unite to make a difference!

It was H-A-W-T! 🥵☀️ The kind of hot where you question all your life choices. Thankfully, Water Day came to the rescue, and there were plenty of laughs, splashes, and soaked clothes! And 🍉 and popcicles - thank you Taylor Nickell and Della Aker for bringing a cool treat!

Our little artists stayed busy too. From sidewalk chalk, drawing on canvases and decorated rocks.

Thank you to Life's Hope for the weekend bags and frozen chicken we send home every Thursday, helping our families long after lunch is over. ❤️

And a BIG thank you to Larry Aker and Debi Aker for standing over a hot grill in this heat to cook hot dogs for our Stay & Play site. That's true love right there! 🌭🔥

Another week of full hearts, happy kids, and a community that keeps showing up.

A huge shoutout to our friends from Impact580 Switch for spending the week serving with us! They came ready to work, play, sweat, and somehow still smile through Oklahoma summer heat. They even brought our youngest volunteer ever at just 6 months old! 👶❤️ She gave it everything she had and was completely passed out by the end of the last day. We can't blame her—we were all ready for a nap!

We launched rockets, battled it out in rock, paper, scissors and shared lots of laughs.
Thanks to Impact580, our Stay & Play kids also got to cool off with sno-cones, which may have been the biggest hit of the week.

One of our favorite moments every week is watching the kids' faces light up as they peek inside their weekend bags. The excitement is contagious! It's truly like Christmas in July...every single Thursday. 🎄❤️

A huge thank you to Life's Hope for making those smiles possible, and to Larry, Debi, and Della Aker for delivering another truckload of goodies this week.

And let's not forget the fresh fruit! 🍉🍌🍎 Thanks to Richard Phillips, we're stocked each week with delicious, healthy fruit that keeps our kids (and maybe a few volunteers 😉) fueled and refreshed through these hot summer days.

Thank you, Impact580 Switch, for loving our kids so well and serving with such joyful hearts. We couldn't do this without volunteers like you!

Week 4 and even though summer just technically started this week we are almost half way through it already!

Every day is a new adventure. One minute we're serving lunch, the next we're chasing runaway frisbies and handing out popsicles faster than we can unwrap them.

Behind all the laughter is something truly special. Every meal served, every game played, every high-five shared, and every smile reminds us why this program matters so much. It takes an incredible village of volunteers, churches, businesses, donors, and community members who show up with willing hands and generous hearts.

We're not just filling hungry tummies—we're filling summers with joy, friendships, kindness, and memories these kids will carry long after the season ends.

Thank you to everyone who helps make the magic happen. We may go home exhausted, but our hearts leave full every single day. ❤️

If you heard a lot of laughter coming from Summer Food & Fun this week, it's because the Duncan Demon Football crew showed up!

This group brings us entertainment, and BIG helping hands. What amazes me most is that many of them come straight from 2-hour early morning practices and still show up ready to serve. They never complain, always say, "Yes ma'am," and somehow always have enough energy to ask, "What can we do next?"

Whether they're unloading food, helping with activities, serving meals, or keeping everyone smiling, they jump in wherever they're needed. Thank you, Coach Matt Terry, for allowing these student athletes to spend part of their summer serving our community. We appreciate you investing in these young men and encouraging them to make a difference both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to Life's Hope for keeping us stocked with another great load of items this week. Thank you Larry, Debi and Della Aker for delivering the load. Their support helps us provide food and resources to so many families throughout the summer.

Thank you to Larry and Debi Aker for firing up the grill and cooking hamburgers for our Stay & Play site. The kids loved it, and nothing says summer quite like a fresh hamburger hot off the grill!

And thank you to Cheryl and Robin for faithfully showing up several days each week to help wherever needed. Cheryl even spoiled our volunteers with a sweet treat this week—which disappeared almost as fast as it arrived!

It takes a village to make Summer Food & Fun possible. We truly have the best volunteers, supporters, and community. Thank you for helping us make summer a little brighter, a little fuller, and a lot more fun for our kids. ❤️
