Tri-State Emergency Conference Speaker Spotlight: Andrea Sjaardema Zickmund

We’re excited to welcome Andrea Sjaardema Zickmund as a speaker at the Tri-State Emergency Conference on October 15 and 16, 2026.

With 22 years of EMS experience, Andrea has worked at every level from EMT to Flight Paramedic, including helicopter and fixed-wing operations. She has been teaching EMS programs since 2007 and currently serves as Chief of Training for Keener EMS and an expert content author for Vector Solutions.

Andrea brings her passion for EMS and teaching to the conference, where she’ll present five sessions across both days!

A licensed psychologist practicing in Dubuque since 2010, Dr. Keedy specializes in trauma-related care and first responder wellness. She founded Resilient Mind Psychology in 2025 and works closely with first responder departments throughout the region.
