Yesterday we celebrated our final mentoring session at Washington Middle School with a pizza party for the students who met their academic goals! We are proud to say that over 16 students earned their invitation by working hard, staying focused, and meeting the expectations for grades and referrals! 👏📚

Thank you to the DRA for continuing to support the Black Men Coalition through the Core Grant, helping us continue our mission of mentoring, leadership, and community impact. ❤️

🍕🎉 BMC MENTORING CELEBRATION 🎉🍕

Today we celebrated our final mentoring session at Jefferson Middle School with a pizza party for the students who met their academic goals! We are proud to say that 14 students earned their invitation by working hard, staying focused, and meeting the expectations for grades and referrals! 👏📚

These young men continue to show growth, leadership, and dedication, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. Watching their progress throughout the year has been amazing! 💪🏾

A huge THANK YOU to the DRA for continuing to support the Black Men Coalition through the Core Grant, helping us continue our mission of mentoring, leadership, and community impact. ❤️

💙📚 LAST MENTORING SESSION AT LINCOLN 📚💙

Today marked our final mentoring session at Lincoln Elementary School for the school year, and we couldn’t be more proud of these young men! 👏🏾

Because of their hard work, good grades, positive behavior, and staying out of trouble, the boys earned themselves a special McDonald’s celebration party! 🍔🍟🥤

Moments like this remind us why mentorship matters. Watching these students grow, make better choices, support one another, and continue striving to be their best has been incredible to witness throughout the year. We are beyond proud of each and every one of them! 💯

A huge thank you to Lincoln Elementary for continuing to allow us to pour into the youth and build meaningful relationships within our community. We also want to give a very special shoutout to the DRA for continuing to support Black Men Coalition through the Core Grant, helping us continue our mission of mentoring, guiding, and creating opportunities for our young men throughout the community. 🙌🏾💙

Today marks the final mentoring session of the school year for the Black Men’s Coalition at Jefferson Middle School before students and staff head into summer break! ☀️📚

We are beyond thankful for the opportunity to spend time with such an incredible group of young men throughout the school year. From conversations about leadership, accountability, teamwork, and life skills — to simply showing up and building relationships — this program continues to remind us why community matters so much.

A huge THANK YOU to Jefferson Middle School, the staff, mentors, volunteers, and especially the students for allowing us to be part of your journey this year. The growth, energy, and potential we’ve seen has been amazing! 👏🏾

We also want to give a very special shoutout to the DRA for continuing to support the mission through the core grant provided to BMC. Your support helps us continue creating opportunities and positive mentorship experiences for our youth throughout the community.

Happy Tuesday, Spot family! 💙📚

What an amazing April mentoring session we had with our young men at Lincoln Elementary School! Today marks our final session of the school year, and we couldn’t be more proud of the growth, teamwork, leadership, and positive attitudes these young men have continued to show throughout the year. 🙌🏾

Every session, we stressed the importance of showing up, working together, respecting one another, and understanding how important education and accountability are for their future. Watching these young men continue to grow and build confidence has truly been a blessing.

A very special thank you to the DRA for continuing to support the mission of the Black Men Coalition through their core grant funding. Because of this support, we’re able to continue pouring into the next generation and creating safe spaces for mentorship, encouragement, and growth within our community. 💪🏾

What a great way to wrap up our final mentor session with our young men at Prescott Elementary School last Monday before they head off to middle school! 🏀💙

We spent the day laughing, playing basketball, talking about teamwork, leadership, and reminding them how important it is to continue believing in themselves as they take the next big step in life. Watching these young men grow throughout the year has truly been a blessing, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish in middle school and beyond!

We also want to give a very special shoutout to the DRA for providing Dubuque Black Men Coalition with a Core Grant to continue helping push our mission forward. Because of support like this, we are able to continue investing into our youth, creating mentorship opportunities, teaching life skills, and making a positive impact throughout our community. We truly appreciate your continued belief in the work being done! 🙌

We wrapped up our April mentoring session with the boys at Prescott Elementary School , and it was truly a special one. We reminded them that we’ve got just one more session together before they take that next big step into middle school.
Time really flies.
This session was all about continuing to build them up—encouraging growth, confidence, and reminding them how far they’ve already come. We had such a great time connecting, laughing, and just being present with one another.
We’re proud of these young men and excited to finish strong with them next month. The future is bright! 💪

We have one more session coming up in May before the school year wraps up, and we can’t wait to see you all again. It’s been amazing watching the growth, conversations, and connection throughout the year.
