Our Back-to-School Event was a success!

A heartfelt thank you to MOMS Club of Draper for volunteering and helping make the day so special. We are also incredibly grateful to Dentacore for providing free dental care to our clients right here at our center during the event. Their generosity made quality dental care more accessible to the families we serve.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and supported this event. Your kindness and generosity helped our clients begin the school year feeling prepared, cared for, and encouraged. We couldn’t have done it without you.

✨We're going LIVE tonight, and we'd love for you to join us!

One of the things I've learned is that healing doesn't happen in isolation—and neither does rebuilding a life.

Tonight I'll be joining Holding Out HELP alongside an incredible group of advocates, survivors, and creators to talk about the power of community, collaboration, and why organizations working together can change lives.

We'll be discussing:

💛 The role community plays in healing

💛 Why partnerships matter

💛 How organizations work together to support individuals and families rebuilding their lives

💛 Ways you can make a difference

Thank you to everyone who joined us during the live Q&A last night! We are full of gratitude this morning ❤️

Today is day 11 of our 12 Days of Freedom and we are talking about one of the most important needs the individuals we serve have! Housing 🏡

Every person deserves a place where they can feel safe.

For many individuals leaving polygamous communities, finding stable housing isn’t as simple as signing a lease. Many leave without credit history, rental history, financial resources, or a support system to fall back on.

At Holding Out HELP, we work to provide safe housing through our residential homes, apartments for single mothers, and Host Home Program—because healing begins with safety and stability.

💛 Just $150/month can help provide safe housing and support for one client in one of our residential housing programs.

Be the foundation of safety.

There are only 48 hours left in our Ignite the Light: 12 Days of Freedom campaign! Join our monthly giving program, make a lasting impact, and you’ll be entered into our campaign giveaway.

Donate today through the link in our bio. Together, we can help someone find a safe place to begin again.

Financial freedom isn’t just about numbers—it’s about agency, safety, and reclaiming control of your own life. 🕊️💼

For many individuals transitioning out of polygamous or insular communities, financial literacy was never part of their upbringing. From complex debts established in their names to traditional banking systems being completely withheld, the barriers to independent living can feel overwhelming.

At Holding Out HELP, we believe that true independence starts with practical knowledge. Whether it’s opening a first bank account, applying for critical benefits like SNAP or Medicaid, or simply sitting down to create a basic budget, these steps transform finances from something intimidating into a roadmap for the future.

✨ Donate & help today: $70 can provide a survivor with a financial coaching curriculum and secure budgeting software access—giving them the tools and confidence to build a foundation for lasting independence.

💛 DAY 7: THERAPY & HEALING 💛
Healing is more than overcoming trauma—it's discovering who you are, finding your voice, and learning that you have the right to think, feel, choose, and live for yourself.

In our recent conversation with Melanie Koerner ( Notes to Self 444 ), she shared how therapy has remained an important part of her healing journey for more than 20 years. Tonia Tewell explained that many survivors aren't just healing from what happened to them—they're healing from what they were taught to believe about themselves.

That's why Holding Out HELP provides trauma-informed counseling and therapeutic services designed specifically for individuals from polygamous and other high-control communities.

✨ Healing takes time and support.
💛 $100 covers a month of clinical therapy specializing in religious and polygamous trauma.

Freedom isn't just about having opportunities—it's about being able to reach them.

For many of the individuals and families we serve, transportation becomes one of the first and most significant barriers to independence. A job interview across town, a therapy appointment, a GED class, a medical visit, or a meeting with a case manager may seem routine to many of us. But without reliable transportation, each of these becomes another obstacle to overcome.

Many of our clients are starting over with limited financial resources. Some don't own a vehicle. Others may not have a driver's license, insurance, or the means to cover gas and repairs. Public transportation often becomes the bridge between where they are today and where they hope to be tomorrow.

Reliable transportation impacts nearly every area of life:
🚌 Getting to and from work
🎓 Attending school or GED classes
🏥 Accessing medical and mental health appointments
🛒 Purchasing groceries and household necessities
🤝 Connecting with support services and community resources

Without transportation, opportunities can quickly become out of reach.

That's why Holding Out HELP works to help clients access transportation resources whenever possible. Sometimes that means helping cover public transit costs. Other times it means connecting clients with community resources or identifying solutions that allow them to maintain employment, attend appointments, and continue moving toward their goals.

A bus pass may seem small, but for someone rebuilding their life, it can be the difference between getting to a job interview or missing it, attending therapy or going without support, pursuing an education or putting it on hold.

Transportation creates access.
Access creates opportunity.
Opportunity creates independence.

How You Can Ignite the Light Today:
🚍 $2.50 can cover a single transit fare
🚍 $85 can cover a monthly UTA transit pass for a client traveling to work, school, medical appointments, and essential services

Freedom requires mobility.

A one-time gift helps Holding Out HELP respond to immediate needs, while ongoing monthly support helps ensure we can continue providing critical services and resources throughout the year.

Consider becoming a monthly supporter and helping create lasting opportunities for safety, stability, and independence.

Because no one should have to start over empty-handed.
