Our next chapter starts with great people!

Please join us in welcoming Purvi Doshi, Ernesto Martinez, Triston Ezidore, and Babatunde Cole to the LA County Library Foundation Board of Directors!

These four leaders bring experience in public affairs, strategic insights, education, and community partnerships—and a shared commitment to expanding opportunity across Los Angeles County.

They join us in supporting and the spaces, programs, and resources that help people read, learn, create, and connect. We’re excited to work together to grow philanthropic support, build partnerships, and champion libraries as essential to thriving communities.

Welcome to the board, Purvi, Ernesto, Triston, and Babatunde!

One card. Every story.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and an LA County Library card is still the best free thing in Los Angeles.

Books and ebooks, Discover & Go museum passes, tutoring and homework help, career coaching, wifi hotspots, and programs all year long.

Free for everyone who lives, works, attends school, or owns property in LA County. Sign up online in about 2 minutes at lacountylibrary.org/library-cards, or stop by any of the 87 libraries countywide. Find your nearest one at lacountylibrary.org/locations.

LA County Library Foundation is proud to support the programs and spaces that make that card worth carrying.

Then tell us in the comments what you are checking out first!

The LA County Library Foundation is pleased to announce a new chapter in our mission to strengthen and expand support to the LA County Library. We've welcomed Ellah Ronen as our Interim Executive Director. Ellah brings her experience from the California Community Foundation and the Annenberg Foundation and we couldn't be more excited to have her at the Library Foundations’ helm.

Katherine Hennigan Ohanesian, LA County Library Foundation Board Chair, shares, "Ellah's experience across some of Los Angeles's most impactful institutions gives us tremendous confidence in what lies ahead. She is the right person to deepen our partnerships and grow the Foundation's capacity to serve LA County's libraries."

LA County Library is one of LA's most cherished civic institutions with 87 branches serving 3.4 million residents across 3,000 square miles.

We'd love your support through a donation or by shopping our new online store at https://www.lacountylibraryfoundation.com/
