✨ WELCOME TO THE DFEO BOARD, HECTOR SOSA! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Former Downey Mayor and current City Council Member Hector Sosa as our newest Downey Foundation Board Member!

Hector is a proud Warren High School alumnus who has been deeply involved in the Downey community for many years. He’s a strong believer in keeping kids engaged in positive, enriching activities and is passionate about the work DFEO does and the students we serve.

Hector previously served as President of Gangs Out of Downey, and his connection to DFEO is personal—his son was one of our very first students, taking violin classes with us for three years!🎻

Hector shares that he’s excited to make a meaningful impact at DFEO and within our community, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on our Board. We’re looking forward to his ideas, leadership, and feedback as we continue to grow and strengthen DFEO programming. 💙 Welcome, Hector!
