Using our animals, the acres of parks land located directly behind our building, and our knowledgeable and dedicated staff, APEC strives to educate both children and adults. We try to foster a sense of responsibility in all who walk through our doors; a responsibility to wildlife, the natural environment surrounding us, and our sustainable future. We offer environmental programs for children start

ing as young as 18 months, high school volunteer and internship programs, college courses, teacher workshops, and family and adult programs designed to teach and inspire.

Summer is in full swing and its time to get weird! Stop at APEC for a special STEM event July 8th & July 28th from 10 am - 2 pm. Climb aboard the Biobus to study the local creatures which you can help protect and conserve up close. Afterwards, do a self-guided scavenger hunt on the trails and stop by the animal room to cool off. The building is open until 4:30 pm. It's FREE for all participating families. All ages welcome. Just walk in to join!
