The DGF Post 397 Home Opener is tonight vs Frazee in a doubleheader starting at 5:00pm at Bob Marshall Field. Thanks to our American Legion players and coaches for detailing sod lines and other field maintenance in preparation for tonight and the season. POST 397 SEASON OPENER!
The DGF Post 397 SR and JR teams will open up the 2026 American Legion Baseball season with games in Barnesville tonight. The JR Legion game will start at 4:30pm with the SR Legion to follow about 6:30pm. The Post 397 program has 21 boys playing DGF American Legion Baseball. The summer schedule for both teams can be found on the Club website at www.DGFBaseball.org. If you cannot make it to a game you can follow the teams on the GameChanger app by searching "DGF Post 397" to find the teams.

DGF TO HOST 16U TOURNAMENT THIS FRI/SAT

The DGF Baseball Club will be hosting the 3rd annual 16U Babe Ruth Tournament on June 5-6, 2026.

This year's four team pool play tournament features: Wahpeton, Kindred, Breckenridge and DGF. Each team plays (3) pool games that are 5-inning games. Last year Kindred won the tournament with DGF winning the tourney in 2024.

The tournament is free admission for fans with concession stand available for Saturday's games.

Come out and watch some 16U Babe Ruth Baseball as we get the 2026 summer season off and running!

"DAY OF BASEBALL" SCHEDULE RELEASED
The 5th Annual "Day of Baseball" will be hosted by DGF on Friday, June 26, 2026. The Day of Baseball will consist of games vs. Barnesville at all ages from 8U up through Senior Legion using four different fields. Fans are admitted free of charge to all games. There will be concessions available. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the day!

PAVERS INSTALLED. The first order of pavers were installed in the new concourse area behind home plate at Bob Marshall Field last week. There were 54 pavers installed in sets of 9 (see photos). Thanks to all our sponsors! The Baseball Club is currently taking a second order to keep filling the open spaces. Today's 5K was a HomeRun!

The DGF Baseball Club's American Legion Post 397 team hosted it's annual HomeRun 5K this morning in Dilworth. A Big Thank you to all the families and friends who supported the community event by either running, walking, managing traffic, ordering T-shirts, and overall planning of the event!

Eli Dicks a sophomore at DGF High School blew away the competition with a winning time of 20:45. Post 397 players Drew Martin and Bradly Surerus finished in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The HomeRun 5K is about competition for some, but for most its finishing the 3.1 miles and for some its a nice walk with their dog. We had all types of participants including great-grandparents.

We appreciate Dilworth City Administrator Peyton Mastera and Chief of Police Hunter Rawson for the city route and keeping our streets safe during the event.

The proceeds from this fundraiser goes towards the DGF Post 397 team's trip to the Battle of Omaha in June where the boys will play in a tournament and attend the College World Series.
