DGF POST 397 WRAPS UP 2026 SEASON
The 2026 edition of American Legion Post 397 Baseball concluded with an end-of-season banquet Tuesday night at Bob Marshall Field. Thank you to all of our SR & JR Legion players and their families for attending!

There were 21 Legion aged players participating and 6 Babe Ruth players who participated on the JR Legion on a part-time basis. The SR & JR teams played 72 games between the two teams. The SR team finished the season (25-12) and won the West MN Lakes Conference Championship with a (5-1) record. The SR team placed second in the South Pod Tournament and lost to Roseau 5-4 in the first round of the NW Sub State Tournament. The JR team finished (18-17) overall and was 3rd place in the Red River Conference with an (8-6) record. The JR team finished 4th place in the JR NW Sub State Tournament losing to Bagley JR 9-0 in the final game.

The Post 397 teams were able to attend 4 regular season tournaments which included the Essentia Health Tournament for both teams. The SR team went to the Battle of Omaha and the JR team went to the Starbuck/Minnewaska JR Tournament. DGF played host to the "Day of Baseball", honored the 2006 State Tournament team with a 20-year reunion and hosted an 8-team JR NW Sub State Tournament. It was an action packed summer of baseball for Post 397.

The players participating in Post 397 baseball this season were: Ben Ueland, Camden Schreiber, Wes Lundberg, Alex Anderson, Wes Hoover, Drew Martin, Luke Krueger, Eli Clemenson, Cayson Bergee, Josh Berg, Isaac Leiran, Trey Knakmuhs, Brennan Kilde, Marshal Hieb, Tate Bergeson, Ian Halverson, Ty Hieb, CJ Mousseau, Ben Backes, Brad Surerus, Carter Mosher, Miles Miller, Jack Seidler, Matthew Eilertson, Cole Nelson, Zander Deutsch, Charley Olson and Zachary Nundahl. The coaches were: Al Krueger, Jesse Rostad, Bryce Krueger and Dylan Anderson.

Thank you to all of our players, coaches, parents and fans for representing the Dilworth/Glyndon/Felton American Legion program in a positive way and supporting the Post 397 team this season!

JR LEGION SUB STATE ~ Day 3
Parkers Prairie is your JR NW Sub State Champions for 2026. Parkers Prairie defeated Bagley in today's championship game 16-4 in 5 innings at Bob Marshall Field. Bagley Post 16 qualified for the DII State Tournament by defeating Ashby in the first game today by a score of 11-1. The DII JR State Tournament is being hosted by Parkers Prairie this year on August 7-9, 2026.

Today's Luther Family Ford "Players of the Game" were: Game 13 Hayden Hanse (Bagley) and Game 14 Championship was Landon Nistler (Parkers Prairie).

Congratulations to all the teams who traveled to Dilworth for the 2026 JR NW Sub State: Bagley, Breckenridge, Barnesville, DGF, Pillager, Parkers Prairie, Thief River Falls and Ashby.

Thank you to our DGF parents who worked in the concession stand, gate admission, garbage/bathroom clean-up, and press box. Also, to Ottertail Umpires Association and Post 397 Legion coaches and players for taking care of the fields.

JR LEGION SUB STATE ~ DAY 2
This morning in elimination bracket play Bagley defeated Barnesville (8-2) and DGF eliminated Thief River Falls (9-2). Then Bagley ended the DGF season by a score of (9-0).

In the evening game of unbeatens it was Parkers Prairie defeating Ashby by a score of (1-0) in 8 inn to secure a spot in tomorrow's Championship game at 5:30pm at Bob Marshall Field. Ashby will play Bagley at 3:00pm in an elimination game. The 3:00pm winner will punch a ticket to the DII JR American Legion State Tournament since Parkers Prairie is hosting the State.

The Luther Family Ford "Players of the Game" for today were: Game 9 Colton Larson (Bagley), Game 10 Ty Hieb (DGF), Game 11 Gavin Solberg (Bagley) and Game 12 Landon Nistler (Parkers Prairie).

We ran both the Bob and JV Fields yesterday and were on Bob Marshall only today. A shout-out to our DGF Senior Post 397 team & Alumni for all their hard work on grounds crew. (We didn't catch everyone in this photo), but its been a team effort....thanks guys!

JR LEGION SUB STATE ~ DAY 1
Ashby and Parkers Prairie both won two games in the first day of the JR Legion NW Sub State Tournament. These two undefeated teams will square off at 5:30pm at Bob Marshall Field. In eliminated bracket play Barnesville will play Bagley at 10:00am and DGF will play Thief River Falls at 12:30pm in loser out games. The winners of the 10:00am and 12:30pm games will player each other at 3:00pm in a loser out game. The tournament continues into Wednesday at Bob Marshall Field.

DGF dropped their first round game to Bagley (2-1) but bounced back in the second game (13-3) over Breckenridge to move on to Tuesday vs. Thief River Falls at 12:30pm.

Congratulations to both our 10U (Brainerd) and 11U (Marshall) Tournament Teams as well for their great performance at the Gopher State Post Season Classic State AA Tournament this weekend.

10U went 2-0 in pool play, won their first bracket game then fell to Fergus Falls in the semi finals to finish in 4th place!! Great run boys!

11U went 2-0 in pool play and fell to Litchfield in the first game of the winners bracket to end in 5th place. Great run boys!

All our DGF Tournament Teams had a great season and we’re looking forward to continued success in the seasons ahead!!

JR LEGION - THE POST SEASON STARTS MONDAY!
The DGF Baseball Club will be hosting the JR American Legion "NW Sub State Baseball Tournament" on July 27-30, 2026. The 8-team double elimination tournament will use Bob Marshall Field & JV Field on Monday all day. The tournament continues on Bob Marshall Field on Tuesday and Wednesday. The NW Sub State Tournament will crown a Champion to send to the Minnesota DII JR Legion Tournament on August 7-9, 2026.

The DGF JR Post 397 team will open up the tournament vs. Bagley JR at 12:30pm on Bob Marshall Field. The DGF JR Post 397 team roster includes: Ben Ueland, Wes Lundberg, Luke Krueger, Eli Clemenson, Josh Berg, Isaac Leiran, Brennan Kilde, Marshal Hieb, Tate Bergeson, Ian Halvorson, Ty Hieb, Ben Backes, Miles Miller, Carter Mosher, Cole Nelson, Charley Olson and Zachary Nundahl.

DILWORTH LOCO DAZE 2026!
Congrats to the City of Dilworth and the community organizers for another successful Loco Daze line-up of activities for our area residents. The annual parade this morning had great weather for all the attendees to enjoy. Here are some photos of our 14U Babe Ruth Baseball players who were in the parade and threw some candy along the way (some throws were fastballs and some were change-ups, of course). Nice job boys!
