We meet the second and fourth Thursdays at noon at the Pizza Ranch, 1504 Center Ave Dilworth. Chartered in 1921, Moorhead Kiwanis Club has been and is a group of men and women who have made Moorhead a better place to live, work and play. se from 5-6pm. Our meetings are an opportunity for members and guests to network, learn about service opportunities and/or listen to a program about our community. Visitors are always welcome to join us. The Moorhead Dilworth Kiwanis Club is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis International serves children and communities worldwide with nearly 600,000 adult and youth members in 96 nations. Members annually devote over 6 million hours and $100 million in projects that strengthen communities. Moorhead Dilworth Kiwanians are dedicated to serving the children and families of our community. We support the MPR inclusive playground project for those who are unable to participate in a typical playground. We support The Moorhead High school Key Club, a youth service group. This year we presented 170 Kiwanis trauma dolls to the Children's Miracle Network at Sanford Medical Center. We provide scholarships to Moorhead High seniors. Other activities we are involved in include planting and maintaining flower beds for Moorhead Parks and Recreation, providing activities for children at River Arts festivals, ringing the bell for the Salvation Army and working at the Dorothy Day and FM Food Pantry. We also provide financial support to many entities that work with children and young people. The current Kiwanis worldwide service project for is the Eliminate Project, protecting mothers and babies against tetanus.
