The Dexter Lions Club is excited to be back at Music in the Park on Friday, August 21, serving FREE ice cream to our community!

If you missed us earlier this summer—or just want another scoop—come enjoy a relaxing evening of live music, great neighbors, and delicious ice cream in Monument Park.

A special thank you to Dexter Creamery for their incredible generosity in donating the ice cream and supplies. Their partnership helps make this one of our favorite ways to connect with the Dexter community each summer. 🍨💜

🎶 Free Ice Cream + Music in the Park = A Perfect Summer Friday! 🍦🎵

Join the Dexter Lions Club this Friday, July 10, at Monument Park during Music in the Park!

We’ll be serving FREE ice cream beginning around 6:30 PM while supplies last. Bring your family, friends, lawn chairs, and enjoy a great evening of live music and community.

A huge THANK YOU to Dexter Creamery for once again generously donating the ice cream and supplies to help make this community tradition possible. Their continued support allows us to give back to the people of Dexter in a sweet way! 🍨❤️

🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 Dexter Lions Club Scholarship Recipients! 🎓

The Dexter Lions Club is proud to recognize six outstanding Dexter High School seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

🏆 2026 Scholarship Recipients:
• Claire Beneteau
• Avery Hoeft
• Raiden Kipfmiller
• Kera Root
• Amelia Musleh
• Kaden Murrel

These scholarships are made possible through the continued support of our local businesses, community members, and the annual Dexter Athletic Program fundraiser. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributes to this effort, especially during challenging economic times.

Today, we would also like to spotlight Amelia Musleh, recipient of the Louie Ceriani Scholarship funded by the Dexter Lions Club. Amelia’s passion for music began in Dexter Schools, where she participated in multiple bands and choirs. She will attend the University of Michigan to pursue a degree in Music Education, with the goal of helping future students discover the same confidence, friendships, and self-expression that music has provided her.

Amelia believes music is a powerful tool that gives young people a positive outlet to express themselves and grow into their true selves—a mission that reflects the spirit of service and leadership we strive to support.

Congratulations to all of our recipients, and thank you to the businesses, volunteers, and community members who make these scholarships possible each year. We look forward to seeing all that these young leaders accomplish!

🇺🇸 What a great Memorial Day in Dexter!

The Dexter Lions Club was proud to participate in this year’s Memorial Day Parade alongside so many wonderful community groups and neighbors. From our Lion mascot greeting children to honoring those who served and sacrificed for our country, it was a day full of patriotism, community spirit, and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who waved, cheered, and celebrated with us. We love serving this amazing community!

🎄 Christmas Tree Lot Update 🎄

The Dexter Lions Club Christmas Tree Lot will be closed Thursday (12/18) from 5–8 PM.

We will reopen Friday (12/19) from 2–8 PM, which will be our LAST day open for the season.

🎄 Lot tear-down begins Saturday morning at 9 AM.

Thank you to everyone who supported our tree sales and helped us give back to the Dexter community ❤️
