McKinney states that the policy would also ensure 40% of the capacity in a community solar program is reserved for low-income families and service organizations.

Madison is a writer who is passionate about people and the environment. She has a background working with Indigenous communities, specifically with her tribe, the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the non-profit Southeastern Michigan Indians, Inc.
