Congratulations to 6 Mile’s very own April McGee-Flournoy, owner and visionary of Design Studio 6 LLC on the successful launch of “Hotter Than July: Celebrating Detroit Summer Nostalgia” a premier art exhibit showcasing the creative brilliance of our neighborhoods!

The art exhibit will be open to the public until July 18th and there is still time to check out the installation or join an event in person at Design Studio 6 (📍8626 W. McNichols)

Join the movement tomorrow: Wednesday, July 15th from 3:00PM – 6:00PM for gallery open hours or on Saturday, July 18th from 3:00-6:00pm for the Closing Reception and and featured Artist Talk and meet and greet!

This week! Thursday! We will be at the Enclave (7400 W. McNichols) with a number of commercial real estate development teams who are working to transform 6 Mile into a vibrant and modern hub for small business and entrepreneurial growth!

👀 We know that you’ve been watching and seeing the new progress at the corner of Prairie St and W. McNichols. Stop thru and have your questions answered by the developers themselves and connect with other interested residents and business owners.

This Thursday (06/11/2026) Live6 is outside all afternoon with community resources, live music, and family friendly entertainment. Stop by right quick for something hot off the grill 🌭 or stay awhile and get acquainted with your neighbors: new and old, young and new!

We will have information about our new resident services and team members will be onsite to share how to get your family on our list for home repair, estate planning, and property tax relief 📑 ✍🏽

🌱 STEWARDSHIP looks good on you 🌼

Thank you to our dedicated community members who showed up to beautify and spruce up our neighborhood for the start of spring in conjunction with this year’s Motor City Makeover. We cleared some alleys, pulled a few weeds, planted some fresh florals on W. McNichols and most importantly came together as a commuity to do it!

Special shout out to all District 2 residents who put in some elbow grease and hard work last Saturday 💪

This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Live6 increasing our output of corridor and lot maintenance for our community. We all love clean streets and someone’s gotta coordinate the dirty work! Stay tuned for more summer highlights 💜
