On March 30, we hosted our Starting Lineups Community Giveback, and the energy was REAL 🙌🏼🔥Over 100+ kids pulled up and experienced a day full of fun, opportunity, and community 💯

From FREE food provided by Happy's Pizza 🍕, fresh haircuts ✂️, and raffles 🎟️… to competitive fun with our 3-point shootout 🏀, hotshot competition, and our MAIN EVENT — the NBA 2K Tournament 🎮

Thank you to MASP for hosting such a wonderful event, “This Is Afterschool”. Aktive Minds Foundation was invited to showcase our sports program in a room full of other great organizations and after-school advocates.

Afterschool programs are important and they need support. The spaces created for kids during those hours are life changing💯 Let’s continue to support and advocate for quality youth programs.

One thing the AMF Basketball Program knows how to do is build community. We are all family here and proud of it!

This past season we gave our players opportunities to coach, scorekeep, and referee. This helped build leadership skills such as compassion, responsibility, empathy, communication, and more. All youth had the option to earn credits towards the concessions stand or pick up volunteer service hours for things such as National Honor Society and college resumes🎖️Big ups to Coach Vince for giving our young referees great instruction and guidance during the fast paced games.

This is just the start! We have plans to continue this great initiative and create additional opportunities around media and broadcasting in our future. We see a lot of successful futures, both on and off the court ✨

Halfway Through the Season & Going Strong! 💪

We’re officially halfway through another amazing season of the AMF Character Development Basketball Program — serving nearly 100 incredible kids, ages 6-16! Each week, we’re seeing these young athletes grow not only on the court but as leaders, teammates, and role models in their communities.
