Goodbye to Week 3 and hello to Week 4 at GOAL Line Discover Works ☀️

During the summer, Fridays mean shopping at the GOAL Line Store! If you’ve ever wondered what your campers get excited to shop for, here’s a little peek into our store. Throughout the week, campers earn GOAL Line dollars by showing positive behaviors like being kind to others, making good and safe choices, helping their peers, following directions, participating during lessons, and being great role models in their classrooms.

This week at GOAL Line Summer Discovery has been amazing! ☀️

Our campers sharpened their ELA and Math skills each day, then jumped into hands-on activities across every grade level.

1st & 2nd Grade: Relay races and puzzle challenges in Let's Play.
3rd & 4th Grade: Designed and flew kites, then brought creative monsters to life in pottery.
5th & 6th Grade: Designed custom vests and hats in Design & Wear and created original songs in AI for Kids.
7th & 8th Grade: Partnered with Detroit Tuft to tuft their own pieces and create a goal line song.

Learning, creating, collaborating, and making unforgettable memories, that's the Goal Line way.

What an incredible start to our Summer Discovery program! ☀️

Our first week was packed with creativity, learning, and plenty of fun! Our students brought their imaginations to life by creating unique monsters in Pottery, designing colorful kites in Kite Making, and personalizing their own bandannas in Design & Wear.

We wrapped up the week with even more excitement! Learning a fun new routine in Step Class with Ms. Adrienne, cooking in Kitchen Science, and celebrating their hard work with a shopping trip to our Goal Line Store!

Schools out for summer, but the learning is just getting started at Goal Line Detroit! ☀️🚌🚌 Yesterday we kicked off our Discover Works summer program, welcoming old and new students to our facility to avoid summer learning loss while participating in fun and engaging activities!

We spent our time getting familiar with one another and settling into our summer space. Here’s a look into our first day…
