COME ON OUT THIS WEEKEND

The Coalition has been busier than ever this summer, and a lot of lessons learned in Year 5 of Free Lawns that we are taking with us.

The toughest challenge remains our all-electric lawn mower fleet. There’s a price to pay for sustainability, and we only use green mowers to help us reduce neighborhood noise and gas accidents.

This sometimes leads to reliability issues with the machines, or down time related to batteries dying, but we are committed to our green operations either way.

You can help us this summer by donating to help us by more lawn mower batteries, or signing up for a volunteer day this upcoming weekend or at a date if your choosing. We’d love to have you out.

COMMUNITY LAWNS IS BACK IN ACTION THIS WEEKEND

We are excited to be back in the field this weekend taking care of the community, and we need your help!

COMMUNITY LAWNS IS UNDERWAY

Thanks to our friends who joined us for the May Day celebration to kick off Community Lawns today at Potawatomie Park in Des Plaines.

Special thanks as well to ALL the volunteers who helped us to serve dozens and dozens of households today with free lawn care and basil shrub planting.

It was a pleasure to be joined by our friends at Des Plaines Community Foundation and Sean Oskerka Des Plaines 3rd Ward Alderman in support of our work at Jet City.

There’s still time to sign up on our website for our next service on 5/16, so please secure your spot ASAP for the next volunteer day.

COMMUNITY LAWNS IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER

The Jet City Coalition is gearing up for our biggest Community Lawns campaign in our history this summer, and we'd love to invite you and your family to join us at Potawatomie Park in Des Plaines.

It'll be a celebration of our 5th Lawn season kicking off with food, coffee, bags, games, and a lot more to celebrate our community and the great work ahead this summer.

EMERGENCY SNOW SERVICE INBOUND

Mother Nature refuses to quit this year, so neither do we.

Jet City will be out today and tomorrow cleaning up for our neighbors and residents with doctor’s appointments and weekly activities.

Spring is right around the corner, and we are almost out of the woods. We have this one final push before we get to plant our gardens.

A LANDMARK WINTER

We can’t thank the community enough who has stepped up and showed out to help us manage over 100+ homes and 2,500+ inches of snow this season alone.

These community members rely on Jet City for fellowship, safety, and the vital financial support required to keep them in their homes and moving forward as a family.

We can’t do this without donations, so please consider buying a piece of clothing so you can rep Jet City around the district and help us buy more blowers.

SNOW SHOVEL SERVICE INBOUND

Man it feels like we can’t catch a break this year 😂😂😂 snow after snow after snow.

But as we do in Des Plaines, we will continue showing up for our senior, disabled, or economically challenged neighbors in need like we always do.

The Jet City Coalition will be out tomorrow starting at 12pm for our Shoveling and Ice care service. We will ensure that every neighbor within out network is tended to.

A STORM FOR THE AGES

Jet City will be out and about this weekend conducting our usual shovel service on Saturday night and all day Sunday.

WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS

Jet City is tracking the snow that fell this morning, and another snow storm set to hit Des Plaines this weekend.
