Tonka’s ultrasound results came in today. Unfortunately two issues were found. In the kidneys they found a spot which we’re hoping is a small infection. A urinary culture will determine that. On the spleen she has a small mass. There is no way to determine if it is cancerous unless the spleen is removed. Thursday Tonka will have the urine culture and chest x-rays done. As long as the x-rays are good she will be cleared for a splenectomy next Tuesday. I’m hoping for the best 🐾💜🐾

Tonka had her check up a little early this year. I have noticed some changes in her and wanted to get it checked out. We were thinking kidney failure but her blood results did not confirm. Tonka’s liver level was a bit high and her urine is diluted. Everything else looked good. She will be going in for an ultrasound soon. Hopefully we’ll have a better grasp on what she’s going through.

I am privileged to be a temporary foster for Carnie! He is up for adoption with The Critical Animal Relief Foundation. Carnie is a sweet, handsome boy who will do best in a quiet home, not with small children or rambunctious households. He will need patience and secure places to feel comfortable. I don’t believe Carnie will take too long to be comfortable as long as he can learn his surroundings and gain trust with a new family. He is very playful and full of energy. He should also do well with other cats.

Zampa had his check up yesterday. Happy to say his senior blood panel came back great! His urine tested positive for bacteria so he’ll need two weeks of antibiotics. About 15 years old and super healthy. We have to sedate Zampa so the vet can handle him. He may have a little behavior issue but you gotta love this big boy 💜🐾

Mouse had his stitches removed today. Due to the scabbing when the stitches came out it made his skin a bit raw. Nothing major, I’m just going to keep his e-collar on for a few more days. A couple more days of warm water on it should help. The best news is Mouse’s eye results came back. The cancer was contained in the iris, none of it went in the blood vessels. Mr. Mouse is cancer free!! 💜🐾

Due to Feline Diffuse Iridal Melanoma (FDIM) Mouse had his eye removed yesterday. The surgery went smoothly, but unfortunately Mouse was super stressed and has hit his eye trying to escape his carrier and the room set up for him. I’ve been able to clean him up, stop the bleeding and put him in a different e-collar to help prevent further damage. After he heals I’ll set up a dental to remove the teeth that are bothering him. For such a sweet shy boy, I’m confident he’ll heal and be back to normal soon 🐾💕
