Joppa is thrilled to welcome Brandy Waters, MBA, RN as its new Chief Operating and Finance Officer.

As a forward-thinking and highly skilled operations executive, Waters has a proven track record of guiding organizations through growth, improving complex processes, and strengthening programs.

Most recently serving as COO at The Iowa Clinic, she led major initiatives including the opening of a 54,000-square-foot medical office building and an 18,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center, developed new patient programs, expanded services, and drove significant revenue and operational improvements.

As we continue to help more people off the streets, including the development of Joppa Village, Brandy’s leadership will help us serve more individuals and families across central Iowa.

One in eight people in Des Moines is struggling to cover basic needs, but understanding poverty takes more than knowing the numbers.

Experience real decisions and barriers that thousands of our neighbors face every day at COPE on April 18th, hosted by LOVE INC Des Moines. This eye-opening simulation will challenge perspectives and move you to action.

Local leaders, including Joppa CEO & Cofounder Joe Stevens, will speak at the event, sharing expertise from their related fields. Joe is honored to be a part of this event and to share insights about poverty and local homelessness.
