Last year may have been… a lesson in emotional resilience.

But this year? We’re showing up, showing out, and showing Main Street what St. Patrick’s Day is SUPPOSED to look like.

Dust off the beads. Unpack the green. Stretch your throwing arm.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Denham Springs! ☘️

We know today feels a little different than we all expected, and we want to take a moment to explain what happened. On Saturday, around the time our parade would have been rolling, downtown experienced significant flooding—something no amount of Irish luck could have prevented. Canceling was a heartbreaking but necessary decision for safety reasons.

As a reminder, our parade is hosted by the Denham Springs Main Street Association, meaning every penny spent on this event is considered a donation to our community. While we wish we could fully refund everyone, we did have unavoidable prepaid expenses. However, we are rolling all sponsorships forward to next year, and as a thank-you to our floats who stuck with us until the cancellation- check your email for a 2026 voucher.

We also want to acknowledge and apologize for any confusion caused by our social media marketer’s comments—she genuinely thought we were rolling rain or shine and didn’t quite account for the whole flooding part. She also had her own float in the parade, which means she now has 600 pounds of cabbage and a mountain of throws to deal with. If you see her trying to hand out vegetables in the parking lot, just smile and nod.

We appreciate every single one of you for your support, patience, and understanding. Keep following us for updates on next year’s parade, because we’re coming back bigger and greener than ever!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

After much consideration and upon the recommendation of the mayor, we regret to inform you that today’s Denham Springs St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been canceled due to concerns for public safety, road conditions, and police availability. This decision was not made lightly, but the safety of our community must come first.

While we are deeply disappointed, we still encourage everyone to join us at the After Party at Big Mike’s, which is still happening as planned! Let’s keep the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day alive and celebrate together in a safe environment.

We appreciate your understanding and support, and we look forward to making next year’s parade even bigger and better! Stay safe, and we’ll see you at Big Mike’s!
